Mobilgrease XHP 222 is an ISO Grade 220, NLGI No. 2,extreme-pressure premium grease. Mobilgrease XHP 222is formulated with a high quality lithium complex soapthickener and a special high-tack polymer to ensure goodresistance to softening under severe working, excellen tadhesion, and a uniform consistency over therecommended operating temperature range of -20°oC to150°oC (-4°oF to 300°oF). Fling-off resistance and sealingproperties are also excellent.Other formulation characteristics include superior watertolerance, high temperature oxidation resistance, and goodpumpability by service station dispensing systems.Mobilgrease XHP 222 passes the ASTM D 1743Corrosion Protection test and will not corrode steel orcopper.
Application
Mobilgrease XHP 222 is recommended for severeapplications where good high temperature and anti-leakageperformance are required. Mobilgrease XHP 222 meetsthe requirements for extended lubrication intervals o fautomotive chassis lubrication points and disc brake wheelbearings, particularly in passenger cars, light trucks, taxifleets, and farm equipment. It is also recommended fo rmarine craft due to its excellent water resistance andcorrosion protection.Mobilgrease XHP 222 resists both water washout andspray off. It provides excellent rust protection as well asprotection against wear, maki ng it an excellent choice foron- and off-highway heavy-duty equipment (fifth wheels,
kingpins, U-joints, bucket pins, etc.).
